Alberta Golf Junior Men's Teams
Based on the results of the 72 Hole Alberta Junior/Juvenile Boys Championship, the Alberta Golf Junior Committee selects players to represent Alberta at the RCGA Canadian Junior Championship. Players may be selected to participate on a maximum of two teams per year.
ALBERTA’S CANADIAN JUNIOR TEAM:
Four players who have not reached their 19th birthday before the final day of the RCGA Junior, place in the top 4 and have exhibited upstanding sportsmanship qualities, are sponsored by Alberta Golf and the RCGA to play individually and in inter-provincial team matches.
ALBERTA’S CANADIAN JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT TEAM:
Four players who have not reached their 18th birthday before the final day of the RCGA Junior, score well, exhibit upstanding sportsmanship qualities and demonstrate a desire and potential to develop their skills. They are eligible to have their expenses to the Canadian Junior Championship covered by Alberta Golf.
Junior Americas Cup Teams (17 yrs and younger):
Top two eligible competitors from the previous year’s RCGA Junior Championship
Top two eligible juvenile competitors from the previous year’s Provincial Junior Championship
ALBERTA-MONTANA CUP TEAM:
Two players from each of the 15 and under, 16 and 17 year old age groups as of the final day of the tournament, score well and exhibit upstanding sportsmanship qualities, are sponsored by Alberta Golf to play in a “Ryder Cup” match play competition. |
